New Orleans Between the Sea & Swamp
This stunning hand blown glass sculpture won the prestigious 2011 Niche award for Best Glass and incorporates blown glass with original drawings etched in a crystal glass cube. The hand blown vase-form top signifies the swamp that surrounds New Orleans and the bottom piece depicts that sea that is beyond the swamp. Each etched original drawing represents an integral part of life in New Orleans that is important to the artist: music, Mardi Gras (carnival), seafood, and the New Orleans Saints football.
